Sea Shell Ceremony by Destin Wedding Officiant for Beach Weddings, Elopements, or Vow Renewals is a great way to include everyone in the wedding by way of offering blessings and good wishes to the bride and groom. Also, it is a good way to ensure that everyone makes contact with the Bride and Groom at some point during the day. This is usually referred to as "Blessing Stones," however, I prefer to use Sea Shells as they are natural and do not harm the ocean or any eco life of our precious and beautiful beaches.
When the guests arrive at the ceremony, they are given a “Blessing Seashell,” or they are simply placed on each seat. During the ceremony, the Officiant explains the significance of the Blessing Seashells, with a brief explanation of the tradition and ritual. Each guest is asked to hold the seashell during the ceremony while they place their best wishes and blessings.
